Prayer is talking to God, and when we do so, we must do so with an open and sincere heart.
Be humble, and honest when you speak to God, or else he won’t bother to respond.
Every healthy relationship, such as a marriage, depends on a good communication line. This is no different with our relationship with God.

The prayer of the Saint has Gods delight Proverbs 15:8, John 9:31, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Psalm 145:18, Matthew 11:25
Prayers of the Saint are kept in Heaven Revelation 5:8,  Revelation 8:3-4

• Be persistent in prayer (Luke 18:1), Jesus prayed three times repeating the same thing (Matthew 26:42-44, Mark 14:32-39);

• Pray without ceasing (Colossians 4:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18);

• Do not worry about what to say to God (Romans 8:26, Hebrews 5:7);

• Pray and sing with the spirit of understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15);

• Thank God in your prayers (Philippians 4:6);

• Pray for the Saints (Ephesians 6:18, Luke 22:32);

• Pray to God in solitary (Mark 1:35).

Matthew 6:5-13 (See also Luke 11:1-4) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
