Christianity - in Christ

Worse than any atheist spending most of his time attacking christianity,
a liberal defending all that is morally wrong in name of equality and how we should all get along (as if light has anything to do with darkness),
a drunk heathen ranting while dancing in sexual superficial perversions,
or a pagan writing endless articles on how his Gods are real (oh yes, demons are real, Babylon had hundreds of them)
.. is the pretend Christian.
Falsely calling themselves Christians, using Jesus and the cross as one of their many good luck charms, quoting the bible when they see fit or/and leaving out essential parts - being everything but a Christian. On the internet, in the newspapers, on television, wherever they find an ear, they will claim to be that which they are not. Users, users like the Pharisees, not struggling with sin but using the bible and the sinless Jesus Christ as a way to get accepted and respected as if their ugliness will wash away by association. Unfortunately in this world of the blind and the deaf, they succeed and with this, defile Christianity.

Christianity is not a fashion statement like Madonna wearing the cross for fun, perverted priests using their position to molest kids (mind you, all prophets were married, celibacy was an advice, not a commandment), politicians speaking about God as if he'd bless their wicked ways, neither is it a shelter for the ignorant who seeks security not in God but in groups, big highways where many others are.

Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Acts 19:15 But the evil spirit said to them, "Jesus I know, and I am getting acquainted with Paul, but who are you?" Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding…
Jesus could cast out demons. The sons of the priest could not. ..
Demons acknowledge Jesus as the son of God. They know he is the son of God.
Christianity is not just knowing Jesus is the son of God, it’s being aware that God sent his son to die for our sins.

Jesus warned that in the last days counterfeit christs would arise. “Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,” (“I am a Christian”) and will deceive many’ ” (Matthew 24:4, 5, NKJV).
The apostle Paul wrote, “I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough” (2 Corinthians 11:3, 4, NIV). The apostle is writing to the Christians of the early church. He warns them concerning false apostles who were preaching about a Jesus who is not the real Jesus of the Bible - a fictitious Jesus, a fabrication of the corrupt imaginations and erroneous thinking of those who want to deceive God’s people. The gospel associated with this false christ is a different gospel; it is not the gospel recorded in the Bible and preached by the true apostles. Further, this false gospel is accompanied by a counterfeit spirit—not the Holy Spirit.

There are churches/teachers that only talk about the Old Testament, creating fundamentalists of their followers as if the time stood still and you can’t make a difference between modern age and the old age. There are churches that only talk about the New Testament, making their followers meak and spineless.

Jesus Christ quoted from the ‘Old Testament’ many, many times. They are ONE. The old rules apply still, but Christ fine tuned them by more explanations and by showing the foundation of God.
So how do you recognize a Christian – a follower of Christ? The same way the demon was casted out; by the acknowledgement of not only Christ but also from Paul by words and actions.

Famous rich Christians? I don’t think so. Not possible:
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." - Matthew 19:24

Christian politicians/rulers? I don’t think so. Not possible:
Romans 13  Obey the rulers who have authority over you. Only God can give authority to anyone, and he puts these rulers in their places of power. People who oppose the authorities are opposing what God has done, and they will be punished. Rulers are a threat to evil people, not to good people. There is no need to be afraid of the authorities. Just do right, and they will praise you for it. After all, they are God's servants, and it is their duty to help you. If you do something wrong, you ought to be afraid, because these rulers have the right to punish you. They are God's servants who punish criminals to show how angry God is.
Who are the rulers? Rulers are a threat to evil people, not to the good people. This tells us the real rulers are not ruling, hence we do not need to obey the present rulers.

A Christian democratic party? God was no democrat, he chose kings, shepherds. The only ones that used democracy in the time of the prophets was the Sanhedrin when they played their democratic game voting for Jesus to die.

You shall recognize them by their fruits.

Who is behind these false christs? It is none other than Satan himself. These false christs masquerade as “servants of righteousness,” just as their master, Satan, masquerades as an angel of light.
Jesus emphasized that it is not enough to simply profess the name of the Lord in order to enter into heaven. Besides taking the name of a follower of Jesus, we also need to actually follow Him. We need to do the Father’s will. Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21, NIV). Jesus also declares, “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:40, NIV).

“Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers’ ” (Matthew 7:22, 23, NIV).
