"I want you to be nice, until it's time to not be nice." Patrick Swayze as Dalton - Road House (1989).

Yes, Swayze too.

Irish priest Father Ray Kelly left bride groom and wedding guests in raptures after delivering a pitch perfect rendition of the Hallelujah song

GOD'S SAINTS

Do not pray to dead saints but for the living!

The word 'saint' means one who is sanctified, or set apart for God. It is not a statement of one’s spiritual status that only a few Christians attain. On the contrary, a saint is anyone who has a living relationship with God through his mercy and grace expressed in the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hence, every Christian is a saint. This can be seen from a very small sample of quotations from the Bible;

• When Saul was persecuting the church he was said to have done great harm to the 'saints in Jerusalem.' (Acts 9:13)
• Peter visited with 'the saints in Lydda.' (Acts 9:32)
• Recalling his persecution of the church, Paul said, 'On the authority of the chief priests I put many of the saints in prison …' (Acts 26:10)
• Writing his famous epistle on the grace of God to the Christians living in Rome, Paul greets them: 'To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints.' (Romans 1:7)

Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

A Few Christians are: Louis Braille, Samuel Morse, Brothers Grimm, Peter Paul Rubens, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Nicolaus Copernicus, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Mother Theresa, Jacques Cousteau, Isaac Newton, Desiderius Erasmus, Bob Ross (painter and 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force), Salvador Dali, Edgar Degas, J.R.R. Tolkien, Galileo Galilei, Rene Descartes, Thomas Aquinas, William Shakespeare, Albert Schweitzer, Wright brothers, Johnny Cash, Louis Pasteur, Francis Ford Coppola, Joseph Leonardo, Joseph Haydn, King Richard the Lionheart, Leif Erikson, Luciano Pavarotti, Bernardo Bertolucci, Augustine, Pablo Picasso, Evita Peron, Babe Ruth, Brigitte Bardot, Ernst Zundel, Martin Scorsese, Anastasia of Russia, Bear Grylls etc. You like electric powered motors? Thank an 18th century Benedictine monk for that. You like genetics? Thank an Augustinian Catholic monk. Like beer? In 2018 the oldest continuously operated brewery, founded by monks, is nearing its 1,000th birthday.

Rocky Marciano (Rocco Marchegiano) was an Italian (in America born) professional boxer who competed from 1947 to 1955, and held the world heavyweight title from 1952 to 1956, from which he retired, undefeated, in 1956 at age 32, after 49 fights. He was a God-fearing man. Sportswriters frequently hailed him as "a religious man" and "a devout Catholic". Modern pundits never give Marciano the respect he deserves as they consistently list Mohammed Ali as the greatest ever. Ali (Clay) was great, but he lost 5 times. He only knocked out 37 of his 61 opponents.

"Anti-Christ" is anyone who opposes Christ

A Few Famous AntiChrists: Martin Luther, Bush, Obama, Tony Blair, Oprah, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Paris Hilton and plenty popes
Anyone that does not follow Christ but claim they do is an anti-Christ according to Gods word.

From the Bible we can clearly see 3 things. First, the "antichrist" is defined as anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the divine son of God.
Second, "antichrists" appear to actively teach against Christ.
Third, there were many "antichrists" in the world when John wrote the book.
This directly contradicts the teaching of modern speculationists who say that one antichrist will arise at some still future time.
The Greek word from which our English word "antichrist" is translated is very simple to understand. It is a simple compound word and means "anti" + "Christ" = "antichrist".
We use the same compound word every day. We have people who are "anti-smoking" or "anti-everything" or "anti-hunting".
There really is no big mystery as to what the word means. "Anti-Christ" is anyone who opposes Christ.

Francis of Assisi

Born in Italy, patron saint of animals and environment.
God loves animals - Isaiah 65:25, Psalm 145:9, Romans 8:19, Romans 8:21-22, Genesis 1:25-26, 1:20, Genesis 6:19-21
Animal messengers - In 1 Kings 17:2-6, Numbers 22:27-32, Matthew 12:40. In Revelations 4:4-11 angels are described with having animal features.

Everything God does is a natural process that is created with a godly spark. The human was made out of dirt (Genesis), manna was created from nature and instructed by God to eat.

Joan of Arc

Born in France, is the patroness of soldiers and of France. At a very early age, she heard voices: those of St. Michael, St. Catherine and St. Margaret. At first the messages were personal and general. Then at last came the crowning order. In May, 1428, her voices "of St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret" told Joan to go to the King of France and help him reconquer his kingdom. In May 1430, after months of imprisonment, she was tried at Rouen by a tribunal presided over by the infamous Peter Cauchon, Bishop of Beauvais, who hoped that the English would help him to become archbishop. Through her unfamiliarity with the technicalities of theology, Joan was trapped into making a few damaging statements. When she refused to retract the assertion that it was the saints of God who had commanded her to do what she had done, she was condemned to death as a heretic, sorceress, and adulteress, and burned at the stake on May 30, 1431. She was nineteen years old

Georges Lemaître

(1894 - 1966) astronomer, physicist, catholic priest

Father of the big bang & modern cosmology

Fr Lemaître, a Belgian priest and astrophysicist, published a paper in 1927 in the Annals of the Scientific Society of Brussels that first presented the idea of an expanding cosmos. In 1931, Fr. Lemaître proposed what later became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe.

Besides showing the compatibility of faith and science, the story of Lemaître illustrates the way in which minds and cultures shaped by the belief that God is a Trinity of reason and love have proved faithful in perceiving order in the universe. Moreover, it is arguable that belief in God who is beyond creation has freed us to theorise about the causation and change of the cosmos as a whole, rather than simply accepting the totality of material reality as an eternal, unchanging given.

Moses

Solitary leader, to whom God gave the 10 Commandments. There were two sets.

The first, inscribed by God were smashed by Moses when he was enraged by the sight of the children of Israel worshipping a golden calf.

The Israelites had been slaves in Egypt for 400 years until God sent Moses, as we know the result, the 10 plagues and the parting of the sea.

Moses spent 40 years wandering in the desert listening to cry babies, so that alone makes him a man of great faith and patience.

Elijah

Loner, pious, loyal, who was fed by ravens and who mocked the pagan Baal worshippers; 1 Kings 18:26-29

Appeared with Moses during the transfiguration of Jesus, and made use of elements (bringing fire down from the sky) by Gods hand. 'died'>went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

Jesus Christ

Son of God, refused each temptation made by the pathetic devil and actually took the time to make a whip to cast out materialistic turds in the temple. Prefered praying alone in the mountains.

Rejected a Canaanite woman when she asked for help because '"I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel". He eventually did help, but wanted to make it clear that the Israelites are Gods chosen people.

He shows off his sword in Revelation 2, and said in Matt 10:34 Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword (sword= truth)

Jesus is not God himself of course, therefore he does not know himself when the end of times will be. "However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself"

Only the weak are cruel. Gentleness can only be expected from the strong. Jesus is the lion AND the lamb. Jesus sacrificed his life for yours. Love, sacrifice,.. these are warrior virtues.

Florence Nightingale

Born in 1820 (- 1910) in Florence, Italy. She was the second daughter of a well-off English family. Florence did not like the social scene that she and her family were involved in. When Florence was sixteen years old her life was changed. God spoke to her and told her that she had a task that He wanted her to do. Florence set up the Nightingale school of Nursing in 1860 and produced a number of books on nursing, advised on the treatment of injured soldiers. In 1910 at the age of ninety she died, having completed all that God had requested from her in this world and was present with Him in the next.

Wilhelm Finnemann

Wilhelm Finnemann, a priest born in Germany, patron saint of endurance, focused on his works of charity during the war (1942, Japan invaded the Philippines) in Manila. The war took its toll in Mindoro especially on women and children. Women especially young girls were being abused, raped and turned into "comfort women". Bishop Finnemann strongly stood against these abuses and a number of times interceded and denounced the soldiers to free young girls who were forced to become sex slaves. Along the way in the waters between Verde Island and Batangas, the Japanese soldiers bound his hands and feet, tied his body on a huge rock and dropped him overboard into the depths of the sea. With hands and feet tied and dragged down by a large rock, the bishop had no way of surviving.

In 2018, a Christian priest was stabbed in the heart near the church of the nativity In Bethlehem on friday, while he protected young Christian girls from harassment of young muslims during their feast ramadan.

Robert Boyle

Founder of Boyle's Law, a major figure in the scientific revolution of the 17th century. 'The Christian Virtuoso', 'Father of chemistry'(as distinct from alchemy). Insisted on experimentation for scientific proof. Boyle's law relates gas pressure to volume. A founder of the Royal Society of London, founded Boyle lectures to defend Christian faith. "His contributions in both physics and chemistry are very great in number, and he was considered in his time to be probably the greatest physical chemist of his generaion"- Dr. Henry M. Morris

"From a knowledge of His work, we shall know Him" - Robert Boyle

Joshua

Trusting, willing, strong. Moses' right hand man, was charged by Moses with selecting and commanding a militia group for their first battle, led the Israelite tribes in the conquest of Canaan (God's command).

Joshua asked God to cause the sun and moon to stand still, so that he could finish the battle in daylight. This event is most notable because "There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for the Lord fought for Israel." (Joshua 10:14) God also fought for the Israelites in this battle, for he hurled huge hailstones from the sky which killed more Canaanites than those which the Israelites slaughtered.

Samson

Mighty warrior, judge, his birth was announced by an angel to his mother. God gave him immense strength and answered his last request before dying. Betrayed by his poor choice in a woman.

Ministering Spirits

There are some strange notions regarding the Angels. One such notion is that when we die we become an angel and do good for others. It contradicts the Biblical understanding of the Angelic which informs us that we will "Judge the Angels."

The angelic has become very popular in recent years with the advent of the New Age (resurrection Sumeria) Movement. Its adherents often use Christian terminology such as "Guardian Angels" to describe consultation with the dead or evil spirits (<'ghosts'; demons).

The angels whom the Bible calls "Ministering Spirits" (Heb.1:14) have many varying different roles and functions to assist the Christians here on the earth.

Not only do they minister to God before the Throne day and night but they also convey God's messages to His people. Some have specific roles and are created to perform specific tasks such as the Guardian Angels of countries, territories and individuals.

The Bible only mentions the names of four angels from the countless millions that have been created. They are Gabriel, whose name means, "God is Mighty", Michael, whose name means, "Like God", Raphael, whose name means, "God Heals", and Lucifer, whose name means, "Light Bearer".

All of them were created good! It was Lucifer who rebelled against God and who through pride, coveted the Throne of God and the worship that belonged to God alone.

This resulted in a mighty war in Heaven.

Dobri Dobrev

The 103-year old man, Dobri Dobrev, recently passed away (2018) has spent decades traveling 25 kilometers from his village to the city of Sofia, Bulgaria, on foot every day to beg for money. Dressed in home-made clothes and leather shoes, the humble World War veteran spent his day asking for change to donate to churches and orphanages who could not pay their bills. Dobri didn't keep one cent of the money he received. He himself lived on a 80 euro pension by the government.

Gregory of Nin (Grgur Ninski)

Born in Croatia, was a 10th-century bishop who strongly opposed the Pope and official circles of the Roman Catholic Church and introduced the Croatian language in the religious services after the Great Assembly in 926.

Until that time, services were held only in Latin, not being understandable to the majority of the population.

Not only was this important for Croatian language and culture but it also made the religion stronger within the Kingdom of Croatia.

Patrick of Ireland

Born in Scotland, in the year 387; died at Saul, Downpatrick, Ireland, 17 March, 461. Patrick was born around 385 in Scotland, probably Kilpatrick. His parents were Calpurnius and Conchessa, who were Romans living in Britian in charge of the colonies. As a boy of fourteen or so, he was captured during a raiding party and taken to Ireland as a slave to herd and tend sheep. Ireland at this time was a land of Druids and pagans. He learned the language and practices of the people who held him. During his captivity, he turned to God in prayer.

He wrote "The love of God and his fear grew in me more and more, as did the faith, and my soul was rosed, so that, in a single day, I have said as many as a hundred prayers and in the night, nearly the same." "I prayed in the woods and on the mountain, even before dawn. I felt no hurt from the snow or ice or rain." Patrick's captivity lasted until he was twenty, when he escaped after having a dream from God in which he was told to leave Ireland by going to the coast.

David

Fearless fighter. God testifies about David; I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. Proof, God doesn't like pussies. Cowardice is mentioned in Rev 21:8, in which the coward is condemned to hellfire along with murderers and sorcerers

This also proves protecting your own is not considered murder, since David killed Goliath.

Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel, holy archangel, heavenly army leader, the leader of the angel forces of heaven against the powers of hell. Leads God's armies against Satan's forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven he defeats Satan.

Michael ("Who is as God") ranks as the highest of the host. He is the leader of the celestial armies and is the angel who fought Satan during the War and enchained the rebel leader. He is considered to be of the class of seraphim, and yet is also head of other ranks within the hierarchy: the ruler of the archangels leader of the virtues, and head of the principalities in his role as protector of Israel. Michael is considered to be the angel of the burning bush through which God spoke to Moses, and has also appeared in the book of Daniel, where God states him as being the highest within the angelic ranks. Although other angels have been attributed with the title of Angel of Death, it is Michael who weighs the souls on judgment day, after his battle once more with the forces of evil. He is mentioned as both an angel of destruction and vengeance in the name of God, but also as a protector and the angel who kept Satan from claiming the body of Moses after the patriarch's death.

More on ministering spirits

Angels are sent to watch over us Psalm 91:11, 2 Chronicles 16:9, Proverbs 15:3, Hebrews 12:1

Angels should not be worshipped Psalm 103:20-21, Revelations 19:9-10, 22:8-9

Angels were happy when the foundations of the earth were laid Job 38:7

Angels mentioned in the bible Genesis 19:1, Acts 8, 12:6-11, Numbers 22-23, Judges 6:20-21, 1 Chronicles 21, Luke 2:8-15, 2 Kings 6:15-18, Judges 6:11

Recognize the angel from the demon 1 John 4:1-6

GABRIEL - God's chief messenger angel and only appears to very important people (Mary in Luke 1:26-38, John the Baptist in Luke 1:11-20, Daniel in Daniel 8:15, 9:21, Zacharias in Luke 1:11-20) in the Bible. He is not called an archangel in the Bible but is considered as one because of his important messages.

RAPHAEL - (Tobit 12:15-16) is one of the seven holy angels who sit next to Gods throne. Although these seven are nearby God, they too are not called archangels.

MICHAEL - ('Who is like God') is the only angel referred to as an Archangel in Jude 1:9. In Daniel 10:13 Michael is called 'one of the chief princes'. This indicates that there are more 'chief princes'. In Daniel 10:21 however, we see that none are like Michael ('Who is like God'). Archangel Michael will battle Satan (1 Thessalonians 4:1, Revelations 12:7) and help our people (Daniel 12:1).

There are various types of angels, such as Cherubim's (Genesis 3:24, 2 Kings 19:15, Psalms 99:1, 103:21, 80:2, Exodus 25:19-22) who guarded the tree of life in the garden of Eden with flaming swords and the Seraphim's (Isaiah 6:2) described with six wings. Gods angels are often identified with 'eyes of fire' (Revelation 19:12, Daniel 10:6). As we can see in Revelations 4:4-11 there are many more angels in the nearby presence of God, who might, or might not, have been mentioned by name in the Bible;

'And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created'.

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Ezekiel 1:16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel).
