We can turn the other cheek when we see how others act, and do what they do; when we feel in our hearts the words that they say what they say; when your employer treats you shitty, remember that he or she is responsible for your pay check and are able to pay your rent and have food on your table.

When God hardened the pharaoh’s heart (Exodus 4:21), it was so so He could prove His almighty power, just like former atheist Anthony Flew most certainly would have never imagined that God would use his free will of rebellion to show how even the most convinced atheist in the end acknowledges the existence of God. Everything happens for a reason. Even Satan’s existence is here for a reason. God did not create darkness, but light. He did not create Satan, He created a beautiful angel named Lucifer, the Morningstar, who by his own will, became corrupted. We turn the cheek to those who do not know what they are doing, we do not turn the other cheek to those who do evil works.

Study the bible and you will see for yourself in which cases we are suppose to turn the other cheek. In nature, the swan protects his children quite aggressively, and so should we. If a paedophile hurts our children, Jesus says in Matthew 18:6 ‘But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea’.

We are not suppose to turn our cheek when it comes down to defending those that are pure and innocent. If we did not, we would be morally wrong and have sinned. Turning the other cheek concerns things that can not harm us, such as slander. Jesus Christ specifically mentioned the right cheek first (Matthew 5:39), which in the Hebrew language was referred to as an insult.

Leviticus 20:4-5 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
